Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing
Residential/Commercial
Residential inspections will be completed within one business day from the time a request is made; when the appropriate 24 hour notice is given. If the inspection is performed and red-tagged for an item on the list of "Common Reasons" there will be a $75 re-inspection fee that must be paid prior to a re-inspection. A list of the "Common Reasons for Failure" will be distributed when permits are issued. Same day re-inspection request will require a $75 additional inspection fee.

Fire
Residential
Residential fire inspections are performed by the Westlake Department of Public Safety personnel. Inspections will be completed within 72 hours from the time a request is made. If the inspection is performed and red-tagged, there will be a $75 re-inspection fee that must be paid prior to a re-inspection. After hours inspection request will be performed at a minimum of $200. Same day re-inspection request will require a $75 additional inspection fee.
Residential inspections will generally consist of: in-ground, riser, above ground, and pressure testing of the fire sprinkler suppression system.

Commercial
Commercial fire inspections are performed by the City of Southlake Department of Public Safety. Commercial inspections will be completed on the next business day from the time a request is made. If the inspection is performed and red-tagged, there will be a $75 re-inspection fee that must be paid prior to a re-inspection. After hours inspection request will be performed at a minimum of $200. Same day re-inspection request will require a $75 additional inspection fee.
Commercial inspections generally consist of: vent a hoods, alarm systems, HVAC ducts, fire extinguishers, exits, and annual commercial fire suppression system checks.
